As a physician, Dr. Teng has spent his career caring for others with compassion, integrity, and service. He isn't seeking public office because he needs another title—he's stepping forward because he loves Diamond Bar, believes in giving back to the community that has given so much to his family, and wants to help ensure our city remains one of the best places to live, work, and raise a family.
Dr. Teng’s Priorities & Accomplishments
1. Keeping Diamond Bar Safe
Keeping Diamond Bar safe remains Dr. Teng’s highest priority. During his term as Mayor in 2025, Diamond Bar experienced one of its safest years on record.
Dr. Teng worked with local organizations to invite the Los Angeles County District Attorney to Diamond Bar to provide residents with an important law enforcement and public safety update.
2. Law Enforcement and Community Updates
Dr. Teng supports responsible budgeting, careful use of taxpayer dollars, and long-term financial planning to maintain essential city services without compromising Diamond Bar’s financial stability.
3. Fiscal Responsibility
Dr. Teng supports major infrastructure and transportation improvements connected to regional freeway projects, including the SR‑57/60 Interchange Project. Work continues on bridges, ramps, roadways, and utilities, with anticipated completion in 2028.
4. Infrastructure and Transportation
Dr. Teng supports the long-term vision for the Town Center Specific Plan, which would transform approximately 45 acres into a pedestrian-friendly, mixed-use downtown area.
The plan is designed to promote walkability, reduce car dependence, support local businesses, and help address future housing needs.
5. Thoughtful Community Development
A healthy business community strengthens Diamond Bar. Dr. Teng supports policies that attract responsible investment, help local businesses succeed, and create a more vibrant local economy.
6. Supporting Local Businesses
Dr. Teng supports practical environmental policies that protect Diamond Bar’s natural surroundings, conserve resources, and prepare the community for the future.
7. Environmental Stewardship
Dr. Teng celebrated the completion of the Diamond Bar Golf Course renovation, an important community and recreational investment that also supported regional transportation improvements.
